I’ve been meaning to declutter these two utility carts. One is considered my reseller cart, and the other is Baby Hulk’s school cart. It’s been a while I’ve decluttered either. It’s an obvious mess. It’s also at the point where It’s taking me long to find things. When it’s at that point that’s probably a sign I needed to do this.
Before Decluttering The Reseller Cart And School Cart
How I Declutter Both Carts
- Remove everything
- Wipe/Vacuumn carts to clean.
- Organize items based on usage. I set aside a pile to trash/keep/recycle.
- Decide how to organize items into carts. Top of my cart are easy to access, and frequently used items. Middle area are for items I sometimes use such as cleaning products, and sewing kit. I keep the bottom as storage for extra like thank you cards, and informational books. For my son’s cart it’s a little different. I keep the top for his assignments they send him home with. I also use the top for his to put his backpack on. Second area is for school supplies he may need. Bottom cart is for things he may need, but doesn’t reach for often.
After Decluttering The Reseller Cart And School Cart
When the cart has been organized I usually note what has to be replaced. Nothing in my cart had to be replaced. Some items had to be cleaned though. Though baby hulk needed a refill on some school supplies. Since it’s not back to school sale I thought I would wait.
To help me stay a little more organized for my reselling business I added an extra box/tray. This tray is for my cleaning products for my items. It holds my leather and jewelry cleaning supplies.
I declutter these two carts probably a couple times a year. Usually I do it during my son’s school break/vacation. I’m happy it’s done. It took me about 45 minutes so this did take more than I expected. I really should do this more often since my family uses these carts daily.
